Muse Spark Open launches (816B open weights) — but the license has strings attached
Meta released Muse Spark Open on October 15: an 816B-parameter open-weight MoE (42B active) with a 1M-token context window, built for coding and agentic work. In a surprise collab, Meta worked with Apple to demo it running on two M5 Ultra Mac Studios via MLX. The catch is the license: products must carry a 'Built with Muse' notice, and companies over $20M/month revenue need a separate agreement.
